Responsibilities

• Provide skilled occupational therapy services to residents under supervision of a licensed OT, focusing on activities that promote independence and safety in daily living.
• Implement and update treatment plans, monitor and document patient responses, and adjust activities to maximize functional gains.
• Prepare treatment sessions, select and set up equipment, and ensure a clean, safe, and accessible therapy environment.
• Document progress notes, communicate resident status and changes to the supervising OT and care team, and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory and facility policies.
• Collaborate with nursing, therapy, and interdisciplinary team members to support resident goals and coordinate care.
• Maintain resident privacy and confidentiality, following infection control protocols, and promote safe patient handling during therapy activities.
• Note: agencies must have NM caregivers account as part of onboarding and referral processes.
