Job summary

Good Samaritan in Alma, NE seeks a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting under RN supervision. You will assist with daily living activities, monitor vitals, and support infection control and documentation for ongoing resident care.

Minimum 3 months of long-term care experience preferred; CNA certification is required or in progress. The role includes varied shifts, occasional weekends, and potential driving-related responsibilities as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• CNA certification with State Board of Nursing, or in process of obtaining certification.
• QMAP certification may be required in Colorado facilities.
• Annual required continuing education credits.
• Possibility of Sanford Category II Driver role with driving policy compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Record vital signs and monitor residents as per care plans.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range-of-motion exercises.
• Assist with meals, hydration, and daily living activities.
• Document resident interactions and changes; communicate with charge nurse.
• Participate in wellness and recreational activities and support infection control policies.
