Job summary

Good Samaritan in Mandan, ND is hiring a Nursing Assistant (NA) to provide resident-centered care in a long-term care setting. You will assist with daily living activities, document care, and help with meals, bathing, and mobility under RN supervision.

The role requires CNA certification (or in progress), 18+ years of age, and 3 months in long-term care preferred. Travel to nearby locations may be required; weekend shifts and a minimum of 30 hours monthly are expected.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or GED preferred, but not required.
• Minimum of 18 years of age.
• Prior clinical or nursing assistant experience in long-term care preferred.
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification with the State Board of Nursing, or state certified CNA within four months of date into the position by being enrolled in a training program or in the process of obtaining certification through Endorsement. CNA training and certification required and provided by facility.
• Colorado: Depending on facility, Qualified Medication Administration Person (QMAP) certification with the Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment required.
• Satisfactorily completes yearly department specific competency testing and maintains a record of continuing education credits for each year.
• When applicable, for applicable states, certified and registered with the Unlicensed Assistive Person (UAP) Registry.
• Dependent on facility and required responsibilities, this role may classify as a Sanford Category II Driver requiring a motor vehicle report and proof of valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Provide resident-centered nursing care and daily living assistance.
• Assist with bathing, grooming, meals, and dining.
• Record vital signs and communicate changes to the charge nurse.
• Assist with transfers, mobility, and range of motion.
• Participate in wellness and recreational programs.
