ARMStaffing is seeking a travel nurse RN CCU - Coronary Care for a travel nursing assignment in Alexandria, Virginia. The RN will provide high-quality CCU care on a 13-week contract with a 3x12 day shift schedule, 36 hours per week.

Responsibilities include assessments, care planning, documentation, discharge planning, and staff supervision, with emphasis on patient safety and teamwork. Required RN license, BLS, ACLS (location-specific), and at least two years of bedside experience.

Qualifications

• Active RN license required.
• BLS certification required prior to first shift.
• ACLS certification required prior to first shift (locations only).
• Minimum of two years bedside clinical experience required.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments within the first 8 hours of admission.
• Develop individualized plans of care with patients, families, and the interdisciplinary team.
• Document all assessments, interventions, and patient responses accurately in the medical record.
• Participate in the implementation of the patient rehabilitation program.
• Initiate discharge planning and patient education from day of admission.
• Communicate changes in patient status to relevant care providers to ensure continuity of care.
• Train and supervise ancillary nursing personnel effectively.
• Promote a positive and safe work environment through team collaboration and communication.
• Assume charge responsibilities as needed once orientation is completed.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and self-study.

Job Description

The Registered Nurse (RN) will maintain the delivery of quality care by ensuring compliance with the nursing care plan. The RN will supervise Licensed Practical Nurses, Certified Nursing Assistants, and orientees while embracing the core values of the organization. Patient and employee safety is a priority, with a focus on the 10 Foot Circle of Safety.
