Job summary

Premiere Healthcare Staffing is seeking a CCU Registered Nurse for a 12-week assignment in Lewiston, Maine. The RN will support the Coronary Care Unit operations, caring for patients, updating plans, and ensuring safety and quality of care on day shifts.

Candidates must hold an active Maine RN license with BLS and ACLS, plus a minimum of one year in acute care; a BVP certificate must be obtained within six months of hire.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in the state of Maine or eligible to practice in Maine.
• BLS and ACLS certifications current at hire and maintained.
• Minimum 1 year of staff nurse experience in an acute care hospital; CCU experience required.
• BVP certificate within 6 months of hire and maintained.

Responsibilities

• Monitor quality of care, documentation, and regulatory compliance.
• Implement care plan changes to promote patient safety.
• Conduct patient and family rounding to enhance experience.
• Serve as a resource for patients, families, and staff.
• Provide direct patient care as needed to maintain safe staffing ratios.
• Support daily unit operations and communicate patient care or safety concerns.
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and assignments.
• Supervise, coach, and evaluate staff; assist with performance management.
• Ensure adequate supplies, equipment, and inventory levels.
• Coordinate with departments to support admissions, transfers, and discharges.
• Oversee nursing staff and patient care during assigned shift.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, TRAINING

• Current and valid state RN
• Current BLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
• Current ACLS (AHA) upon hire and maintain
• Minimum of one year staff nurse in an acute care hospital setting; Critical Care setting required
• Behavioral Violence Prevention (BVP) certificate within 6 months of hire and maintain

Pay Transparency:

Premiere Healthcare Staffing offers competitive compensation and a reasonable compensation estimate for this role is $52.00 to $60.00. This compensation estimate is specific to Maine and has not been adjusted for any other geographic location. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
