Description

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a 12-week assignment requiring 2+ years of cardiac cath lab experience and community hospital background.

Details

• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting
• Performs cardiac catheterization, EP studies, and vascular procedures
• Uses GE Innova IGS and Siemens equipment
• Epic charting system preferred
• Schedule rotates between 4x10-hour day shifts (7:00 AM-5:30 PM) and one week of 5x8-hour shifts (8:00 AM-4:30 PM) every 6 weeks
• Call requirement of 12-14 days per 6-week period including 1-2 weekends
• Must live within 30 minutes of the facility for call coverage
• May float within facility and scope of practice as needed

Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of experience in cardiac cath lab
• Community hospital experience required
• Teaching hospital and Trauma Level I/II experience preferred
• ACLS and BLS certification required
• ARRT-R, CCI RCES, CCI RCIS, or CVT certification preferred
• GA or Compact RN license required if applicable
• Skilled in venous access, central line care, EKG lead placement, and sterile field maintenance
• Experience with angioplasty, stent placement, and vascular studies
• Experience with EP procedures including AICD/pacemaker insertion preferred
• Experience with left/right heart catheterization, PCI, and PTCA
• Hemodynamic monitoring and Impella insertion experience preferred
• Copies of required certifications must be provided for consideration
• Two supervisory references (Manager level or above) highly preferred

Additional Information

• First-time travelers will be considered for this role
• Local candidates accepted at the same bill rate
• Former Piedmont perm/PRN/internal staff must be separated from all Piedmont facilities for one full year before applying as a traveler
• Returning travelers who were previously cancelled or not returned must complete one assignment outside Piedmont before reapplying
• Maximum RTO of 7 days per contract, which must be finalized at time of submission
• No RTO or schedule changes may be requested after offer, onsite, or during orientation week
• If one or two major holidays fall during the assignment, no holiday RTO can be requested
• If three major holidays fall during the assignment, one holiday RTO request may be considered
• Full compliance required to start on time, as delays may push the start date back by two weeks due to biweekly orientation scheduling
