Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Cath Lab RN for a 13-week Cardiology assignment in Illinois. Requires IL RN license and at least one year of cardiovascular lab or critical care experience.

The role is day shift 0800-1630 with on-call rotation roughly every 2nd-3rd weekend and 1-3 times per week. You will provide patient care throughout cardiovascular procedures and collaborate with physicians to update status.

Qualifications

Active IL RN license required.
Current BLS and ACLS certifications required on hire and maintained.
At least one year of hands-on clinical experience in a Cardiovascular Lab or Critical Care.
BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

Full-time Cath Lab RN role in Cardiology and Cardiac Cath Lab.
Care for adult and geriatric patients undergoing cardiovascular procedures.
Day shift 0800-1630 with on-call rotation (~2nd-3rd weekend, 1-3 times/week).
Deliver comprehensive patient care addressing physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs.
Collaborate with physicians and provide updates on patient status before, during, and after procedures.
Prepare and maintain procedure rooms and ensure equipment is calibrated.
Manage case-specific supplies and inventory for efficient Cath Lab workflow.
Monitor and interpret physiologic and hemodynamic data during procedures.
Maintain thorough documentation and participate in CQI initiatives.
