Job summary

American Traveler is seeking an EP Technologist for an Electrophysiology Lab. The role requires 2+ years of EP lab experience and RCES certification, with BLS/ACLS and NIHSS current. Travel assignments include holidays and on-call coverage, with 36 hours guaranteed each week.

Shifts are 12 hours, 0630–1900, five days per week. Licensure and a driver's license are required as applicable for the assignment location in the United States.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years EP lab experience.
• RCES certification via CCI is required.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (AHA) are required.
• NIHSS certification is required.
• Active state licensure or compact licensure for the submission state is required.
• Driver's license is required for consideration.

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within the EP Lab; scrubs in cases and monitors patients.
• Uses Cerner EMR for patient data and procedure documentation.
• Three 12-hour shifts per week, Monday–Friday, with on-call 30 minutes response time.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week and travel with schedules for major holidays.
• Assist in EP procedures; travel requires no circulation or charting.
• Provide two professional references as part of the process.

Requirements

• Registered Cardiac Electrophysiology Specialist (RCES) certification via CCI required
• License required if applicable
• Active state or compact (NLC) licensure required for the state of submission; pending licenses not accepted
• Copy of driver's license required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Acute care setting within the EP Lab (Electrophysiology Lab) unit
• Uses Cerner EMR
• 3 shifts per week, Monday through Friday, 12-hour shifts from 0630-1900
• Required on-call coverage with a 30-minute response time, call hours 1900-2300
• 36 guaranteed hours per week
• Primary responsibilities include scrubbing in cases and monitoring patients during procedures
• Techs do not circulate or chart in the EP lab; stim experience is a plus
• Scrubs are provided on the unit
• Travelers will be scheduled to work 2 of the 3 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year's); holiday time off may be requested but is not guaranteed
• Two professional references required: one supervisor reference from within the last 12 months worked and one peer or supervisor reference from within the last 3 years worked, including dates of employment and rehire eligibility
