Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab/EP Technologist with 3+ years of experience for an acute care Cardiac Catheterization Lab in Bakersfield, CA. RCIS/RCES certification via CCI is required, along with BLS/ACLS and an active RN license as applicable.

The role includes on-call duties, 10-hour day shifts, and care across cardiac, EP, structural heart, and vascular procedures using Cerner EMR. Strong teamwork and compliance with standards are essential.

Qualifications

Minimum of 3 years experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab setting.
BLS and ACLS certification (AHA) required
RCIS or RCES certification via CCI required
Active state or compact (NLC) RN licensure required for the state of submission; license required if applicable
Acute care hospital experience required
Copy of driver's license required for consideration
Two professional references: one supervisor from within last 12 months and one from within last 3 years, with dates and eligibility for rehire

Responsibilities

Acute care Cardiovascular Tech (CVT) unit within the Cardiac Catheterization Lab
Cases include cardiac, electrophysiology, structural heart, and vascular/neuro/peripheral diagnostic and interventional procedures
Uses Cerner EMR
10-hour day shifts, every other weekend
On-call rotation to support emergency procedures outside scheduled hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Must be able to respond and be ready for a procedure within 30 minutes of call notification
Monitor and process hemodynamic and electrophysiology data during procedures
Assist with equipment maintenance, inventory, and procedure room readiness
Obtain supplies for individual cases
Deliver patient care following professional and hospital standards; maintain safety and confidentiality
Support compliance with performance improvement plans, Joint Commission, and other regulatory standards
