Job summary

American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center in Fredericksburg, VA. The role requires 1+ year of Cath Lab experience and active BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certifications; Epic EMR experience is preferred.

Work involves scrubbing for procedures, patient monitoring, and recognizing life-threatening arrhythmias. Typical shifts are 4x10 hours, with on-call weekends/holidays; local travelers are welcome.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab.
• BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certification required.
• VA or compact license required if applicable; temporary licenses accepted.
• Epic experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Short-term acute care hospital with Level II Trauma Center designation and 431 staffed beds.
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab setting.
• Patient ratio of 1:6.
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM, Monday-Friday.
• On-call required including weekends and holidays, approximately 1 weekend and 5 weekdays per month for STEMI call.
• Potential to float within the facility or nearby affiliated facilities based on census/volume.
• Uses Epic EMR.
• Responsibilities include scrubbing for procedures, accurate patient monitoring, and recognition of life-threatening arrhythmias.
• Supports diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab procedures, vascular studies, and neurological studies/procedures.
• Scrubs provided.
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate with no radius restriction.
• RTO requests subject to manager discretion and must be included at time of consideration.
• Returning travelers must have a 1-year separation from the facility before being eligible to return.
• Up to 8 hours of pre-start training modules required within 1 week of signing.

American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center, requiring 1+ year of experience and BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certification.

Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience in Cath Lab
• BLS, ACLS, and CCI RCIS certification required
• Epic experience preferred
• VA or compact license required if applicable; temporary licenses accepted
• Skilled in equipment set up, EKG lead placement, access site prep, and sterile field maintenance
• Experience with vascular closure systems (Perclose, StarClose)
• Proficiency in cardiac cath lab procedures including left and right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, cardiac stent placement, IABP placement/removal, and Impella insertion
• Experience assisting with TAVR and temporary pacemaker placement preferred
• Experience with ASD closures and rotablator atherectomy preferred
• Ability to recognize life-threatening arrhythmias
