Job summary

American Traveler is seeking a Cath Lab / EP Technologist for a Level II Trauma Center. ARRT-R, ACLS, and BLS are required, with CI/CCI RCIS preferred.

This travel assignment requires a current state license if applicable and the ability to scrub and maintain a sterile field. You will work in a diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with EP lab and hybrid OR capabilities, on 4x10 hour day shifts, with on-call duties and weekend coverage as described.

Qualifications

• ARRT-R, ACLS, and BLS certifications required.
• State license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience
• Must be able to scrub and maintain a sterile field
• Experience with vascular closure systems preferred
• Experience with cardiac cath lab procedures including diagnostic and left/right heart catheterization, PCI, PTCA, stent placement
• EP skills such as cardiac ablation, mapping, and pacemaker insertion preferred
• Experience with IABP, Impella, and hemodynamic monitoring preferred
• One professional reference required for consideration

Responsibilities

• Short term acute care hospital with 426 staffed beds and Level II Trauma Center designation
• Diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab with EP lab and hybrid OR capabilities
• 4x10 hour day shifts from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM
• On-call required, 6-9 weekday call shifts per 4-week schedule (5:15 PM-7 AM)
• Weekend call required approximately 1 in 4 weeks, covering 48 hours from Friday 5:15 PM to Monday 7 AM
• 3 staff required on call at all times for STEMI coverage
• Uses Epic for charting
• Uses fluoroscopy and Philips equipment
• Responsibilities include EKG lead placement, access site prep, equipment setup, and accurate patient monitoring
• Must recognize life-threatening arrhythmias and use isolation precautions/PPE appropriately
• Scrubs provided

• Flu vaccine required with no declinations accepted
• COVID vaccine and booster required with medical/religious exemptions only
• Candidates must be located more than 75 miles from the facility to be considered, unless applying as a Nuclear Med Tech or CT Tech
• Local candidates not accepted under standard travel rate
• Returning staff must have been separated from the facility for at least 2 years to be eligible as a traveler
• Up to 7 days of RTO can be auto-approved
