American Traveler, LLC. is hiring a Cath Lab/EP Technologist for a hospital-based cardiac cath lab and EP lab. The role requires 2+ years of cath lab experience, ARRT certification, BLS/ACLS, and state licensure as applicable. The candidate must be willing to obtain WV licensure if not already licensed.

The position involves 2 cath labs with EP rotation, day shifts, high-volume case load including STEMI, and call duties. Travel flexibility and cross-training are valued.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of cath lab/EP experience required.
• BLS and ACLS certifications required (AHA).
• ARRT certification required.
• State license required if applicable; active compact or state license required at time of consideration.
• KY license required, with willingness to obtain WV licensure upon offer considered.
• Flu vaccine required; declinations not accepted, medical/religious exemptions reviewed case by case.
• Experience with table panning and scrubbing for diagnostic and interventional cardiology cases.
• Experience assisting with devices including Shockwave, Balloon Pump, Impella, EKOS, Penumbra, and ACIST injector.
• Experience with device implants including pacemakers and ICDs (single, dual, Bi-V).
• Experience with peripheral diagnostics and interventions.
• Cross-training in EP ablations preferred; training available for qualified candidates.

Responsibilities

• Hospital-based setting with 2 Cath Labs plus rotation in the EP Lab.
• Performs 8-10 procedures per day with 6-8 STEMI cases per month.
• Day shift schedule 4x10 hours from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
• Schedule may require an 84 hours per two week rotation (one week 3x12, next week 4x12).
• M-F schedule with 1 rotating weekday off each week.
• Call requirement of 20 shifts per 9 week schedule, every other weekend.
• Must respond within 30 minutes for STEMI alerts.
• Call team consists of 2 RNs and 1 Rad Tech.
• Float required within scope; blocked scheduling cannot be accommodated.
• Physicians utilize both radial and groin access approaches.
• Ratios may vary based on staffing and census.
• Responsibilities include scrubbing, circulating, and assisting with diagnostic and interventional cardiac cath lab and EP lab procedures.
• Device implant responsibilities include pacemakers and ICDs.
• Assists with peripheral vascular diagnostics and interventions.
• Scrubs and lead apron provided.
• Orientation held bi-weekly.
• Candidates must live 75+ miles from the facility; local candidates will not be considered.
• Up to 7 days of RTO considered if presented upfront with no changes accepted.
• Must work either a major or minor holiday during assignment.
• Returning travelers must take a minimum 6 month break after completing one year in the system before being eligible to return.
