Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals seeks a Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform echocardiograms and vascular studies, ensuring high-quality images per guidelines. Proficiency with ultrasound equipment and adherence to departmental policies are essential. Basic Life Support (BLS) is required.

Licensure requirements include Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (or equivalents). At least 1 year of clinical ultrasound experience is expected.

Qualifications

• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.
• Graduate Cardiac Ultrasound or Graduate Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound with an Associate's Degree (Cardiovascular Sonography) preferred.
• Licensure: Registered Vascular Technologist and Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (or equivalents) required.
• 1 year clinical ultrasound experience required.

Overview

The Cardiovascular Sonographer, TS performs echocardiograms as well as varying vascular studies of patient's anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology. They must demonstrate proficiency in the use of ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the structures of the cardiovascular system in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. Basic Life Support Required.
