Job summary

WakeMed Health & Hospitals in Raleigh, NC is seeking a Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer to perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound across ambulatory locations. You will acquire high-quality images of the cardiovascular system and document findings in accordance with department policies.

Requirements include licensure (RDCS/RVS/RCS/RVT), graduate in Cardiac and Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound, an associate degree in Cardiovascular Sonography, and a minimum of 1 year of clinical ultrasound

Qualifications

• Must hold required registrations (RDCS, RVT, RCS, RVS) and maintain current credentials.
• Graduate Cardiac Ultrasound and Graduate Peripheral Vascular Ultrasound.
• Associate degree in Cardiovascular Sonography.
• Minimum 1 year clinical ultrasound experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform cardiac and vascular ultrasound studies and obtain diagnostic quality images.
• Visualize, measure, and record cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology.
• Follow department policies and procedures and interdepartmental guidelines.
• Collaborate with the cardiovascular services team to support patient care.

Overview

The Cardiovascular Testing department uses state of the art equipment, by multi Registered Cardiovascular Sonographers to perform both normal and abnormal cardiovascular anatomy/physiology and pathophysiology. The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer must be able to demonstrate proficiency in the use of Ultrasound equipment to visualize and record quality images of the Cardiovascular system (at multiple ambulatory locations). Demonstrated proficiency must be in accordance with established guidelines and departmental policies and procedures. The Registered Cardiovascular Sonographer will also understand the needs of the organization and support the mission, values and management of the division of Cardiovascular Services.
