Job summary

Hawthorne Health is seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers for an in-home imaging study across the United States. You will travel regionally to patient homes, perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging, and operate portable ultrasound equipment, ensuring quality data collection and patient comfort.

This full-time, travel, 3–4 month W2 contract includes a monthly stipend of $8,000–$10,000 with travel reimbursements for flights, car rental, and lodging based on experience.

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g., RDCS/RCS with RVT or RVS)
• Full-time availability or close to full-time
• Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel locally/regionally
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings
• Strong patient communication and bedside manner

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes to conduct visits (≈25 visits/month)
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging studies per protocol
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging
• Follow sponsor and protocol-specific imaging guidelines
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments
• Maintain ASE-compliant quality standards
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed
