Job summary

Hawthorne Health is expanding its Home Network and seeking dual-credentialed Cardiac and Vascular Sonographers to perform in-home imaging visits across the region. You will travel to patient homes, set up portable ultrasound equipment, and conduct echocardiograms and vascular studies per protocol.

This is a full-time, contract opportunity for 3–4 months with a monthly stipend of $8,000–$10,000 plus travel expenses covered (airfare, mileage, hotel).

Qualifications

• Active registration in cardiac and vascular imaging (e.g. RDCS or RCS plus RVT or RVS through ARDMS or CCI).
• Full-time or near full-time availability.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation; willingness to travel regionally.
• Access to a personal computer and reliable internet; tech-savvy with digital tools.
• Ability to work independently in non-traditional settings.
• Excellent patient communication and bedside manner.
• Adaptability in dynamic, field-based environments.
• Time management and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Travel locally or across state lines to patient homes for visits (≈25 visits/month).
• Transport and set up portable ultrasound equipment.
• Explain procedures and obtain informed cooperation from participants.
• Perform echocardiograms and vascular imaging per protocol.
• Monitor patient comfort and safety during imaging.
• Follow sponsor and protocol imaging guidelines.
• Ensure accurate image acquisition and labeling for cardiology review.
• Complete preliminary report with measurements and comments.
• Maintain ASE standards in imaging quality.
• Troubleshoot imaging equipment as needed.
