Job summary

MedPro Healthcare Staffing in Bangor, Maine is seeking a travel Cardiac Sonographer for a 13-week assignment performing 2D echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies under physician supervision. You will prepare patients, provide preliminary interpretations, and maintain echo records on a busy non-invasive cardiology service.

The role requires completion of accredited cardiac technology and echocardiography programs.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac technology.
• Successful completion of an accredited training course in cardiac ultrasound.
• Interpretation skills to facilitate a comprehensive examination and an accurate preliminary interpretation.
• Graduate of cardiac echocardiography technology program.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patient for examination and perform 2D echoes, M-mode and Doppler studies.
• Prepare preliminary interpretation of those studies.
• Maintain records of echo studies and assist with training of residents and staff.
• Read, interpret, and apply physicians orders and procedures as directed.
• Knowledge of multiple echocardiography platforms and technology.
