Job summary

American Traveler is hiring a Cardiac Sonographer with over 1 year of experience in adult transthoracic echocardiography for a cardiology unit supporting inpatient, ED, and outpatient populations.

Requirements include BLS certification and ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCIS certification, with at least 1 year of core cardiac sonography experience. EPIC EMR and Phillips PACS experience preferred. Shifts are 8 hours, Monday–Friday, with no weekend rotation.

Qualifications

• Current BLS certification required.
• ARDMS-RDCS or CCI-RCIS certification required (license if applicable).
• Minimum of 1 year of core work experience in cardiac sonography, with latest within the last year.
• Graduate of an accredited cardiac ultrasound program preferred.
• Experience with adult transthoracic echocardiography, contrast studies, doppler and color flow imaging.
• No TEE or stress echo experience required.
• EPIC EMR experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform adult transthoracic echocardiograms and related studies.
• Utilize EPIC EMR and Phillips PACS ISCV system.
• Support cardiology unit serving inpatient, ED and outpatient populations.
• May assist with mentoring other Echo Techs, though not required.
• 8-hour day shifts, Monday-Friday; no weekend rotation.
• Holiday coverage as needed; may float to nearby facilities.
• Department orientation and EPIC training provided upon start.
