Job summary

Centerline Communications LLC is hiring a Fiber Optic Splicing Technician based in the Fairfield, ME area. The role involves field-based work traveling to job sites across NH and New England, performing splicing, testing, and troubleshooting on OSP/ISP networks.

You will review drawings, operate splicing equipment, and maintain project documentation while collaborating with project managers to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience as a Fiber Splicing Technician.
• Strong understanding of single and mass fusion splicing, cable prep, and termination.
• Ability to identify and troubleshoot fiber issues, including characterization and advanced testing.
• Familiar with multiple OSP/ISP splice enclosures and common industry equipment.
• Must differentiate colors for accurate splicing.
• Must pass DOT physical, drug screen and background check.
• OSHA-10 certification (or ability to complete within 90 days, provided by company).
• Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing, testing, and termination on networks and enclosures.
• Review splice drawings, work orders, and schematics for accuracy.
• Operate OTDRs, iOLM, fusion splicers, ribbon splicers, and power meters.
• Accurately complete project documentation, test records, and deliverables.
• Support jobsite crews, providing guidance and mentorship when needed.
• Work directly with customers and project managers to meet expectations and deadlines.
