Job summary

Centerline is hiring an experienced Fiber Optic Splicing Technician for the NH and New England region. This field-based role starts from your home and travels to job sites with no office check-ins required.

You will splice, test, and troubleshoot across OSP/ISP environments; review drawings; operate OTDRs and fusion splicers; and document results. Travel and on-call shifts are expected as projects require.

Qualifications

Prior hands-on experience as a Fiber Splicing Technician.
Strong single and mass fusion splicing, cable prep, and termination knowledge.
Ability to identify and troubleshoot fiber issues, including testing.
Familiar with OSP/ISP splice enclosures and common equipment.
Learn new software (ARC/GIS, Telvent, Trimble a plus).
DOT physical, drug screen, and background check clearance.
Willingness to work nights, weekends, holidays, and on‑call shifts.
Local to New Hampshire or relocating to NH.

Responsibilities

Perform fiber splicing, testing, and termination on networks and enclosures.
Review splice drawings, work orders, and schematics for accuracy.
Operate OTDRs, iOLM, fusion splicers, ribbon splicers, and power meters.
Accurately complete project documentation, test records, and deliverables.
Support jobsite crews, providing guidance and mentorship when needed.
Work directly with customers and project managers to meet expectations and deadlines.
