Job summary

Centerline Communications LLC is expanding its Burlington, VT area team and seeks a Fiber Splice Technician. The role combines independent fieldwork with on-site customer collaboration, focusing on ISP, OSP, and aerial fiber builds.

You will perform advanced fusion splicing, fiber testing, and precise documentation while mentoring junior technicians and supporting crew or project management tasks. A valid driver’s license, OSHA-10 within 90 days, and travel readiness are required.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fiber Optic Splice Technician.
• Must be at least a high school graduate or equivalent.
• Must possess and continue to possess a valid driver’s license
• Within 90 days of start, take and pass OSHA-10 Certification; pass DOT physical/drug screen/background check.

Responsibilities

• Understand multiple OSP/ISP splice enclosures by various manufacturers.
• Demonstrate advanced fiber prep/single and mass fusion splicing, and termination abilities.
• Perform excellent fiber testing and troubleshooting, including fiber characterization and iOLM documentation.
• Train junior technicians and participate in crew/project management responsibilities.
• Travel required; nights, weekends, and on-call work as needed.
• Interact with customers on-site and collaborate with teams.
