Centerline is seeking experienced Fiber Splice Technicians to support our Portland, ME operations. You will perform ISP, OSP, and aerial fiber work, combining field splicing with customer interaction to deliver clean, reliable installations across the Northeast.

The role requires travel, night and weekend work, OSHA-10 certification within 90 days, and a valid driver’s license. Local candidates near Fairfield, ME preferred, with strong safety and teamwork values.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Fiber Optic Splice Technician.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to perceive color differences.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• OSHA-10 certification within 90 days through the company's safety program.
• Willing to travel; night and weekend work; on-call duties.
• DOT physical, drug screen, and background check required.
• Local candidate to Fairfield, ME area or able to relocate.

Responsibilities

• Perform fiber splicing (single and mass fusion) and terminations to exacting standards.
• Work with customers and team to ensure quality workmanship.
• Manage equipment, safety, and documentation for each job.
• Collaborate with junior technicians and assist with basic crew tasks.
