Job summary

The Gilmore Collection in Grand Rapids, MI seeks a part-time Catering Driver/Event Assistant to support fast-paced catering operations. This role involves driving a 16-foot box truck, setting up and breaking down event spaces, and assisting staff to ensure smooth service.

Responsibilities include lifting up to 50 lbs, coordinating with vendors, and maintaining safety and cleanliness during set-up and events. Prior food/beverage experience preferred, ServSafe certification encouraged.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive a box truck to transport catering equipment, food, and supplies to event locations.
• Set up catering stations, tables, linens, and decor at event venues according to event specifications.
• Assist in unloading, organization, and arrangement of catering items at the event location.
• Break down event setups and return equipment to the warehouse.
• Provide support to event staff during the event to ensure smooth service.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of event areas during and after setup.
