Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Perform minor electrical maintenance per state law, replacing fixtures and outlets.
• Complete work orders timely and report status per processes.
• Ensure OSHA standards and company safety policies are followed.

Job Title: Travel Airport Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Commercial Maintenance Technician is responsible for delivering effective, efficient, and timely services to multiple customers within an assigned geographic territory. This role involves traveling to various customer sites to maintain commercial properties, performing preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance, troubleshooting, and general service of buildings, equipment, and grounds. The technician will maintain a professional working environment and utilize multiple trade skills such as carpentry, plumbing, electrical, painting, roofing, HVAC, and other skills as needed.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality maintenance services to commercial properties within an assigned territory.
• Perform preventative, corrective, and predictive maintenance on buildings, equipment, and grounds.
• Conduct minor plumbing maintenance such as repairing and unclogging toilets and replacing valve assemblies.
• Perform routine painting, carpentry, and general maintenance to maintain facilities in like-new condition.
• Repair and maintain walls, floors, and doors, including painting and touch-up work as necessary.
• Perform minor electrical maintenance within state law requirements, including repair or replacement of fixtures, wall switches, and outlets.
• Complete assigned work orders in a timely manner and communicate work order status via designated business processes.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA standards and Company Safety policies.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in maintenance, commercial maintenance, and facilities maintenance.
• Strong handyman skills, including electrical, HVAC, and plumbing knowledge.
• Experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of building mechanical systems.
• Ability to operate handheld devices and business systems, including document management software.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, including Outlook and Word.
• Knowledge of applicable codes, regulations, and governmental agency directives related to building operations and work safety.
• Experience in daily local travel between properties.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Baltimore, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $31.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
