Aerotek in Miami, FL is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance to perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on Saab, Embraer and other aircraft under FAA regulations, in a fast-paced airline environment.

The role requires reading maintenance manuals, IPCs and wiring diagrams, strong troubleshooting skills, ability to lift 50 lbs, and willingness to work night shifts and weekends.

Qualifications

• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Experience maintaining Embraer E145/ E170/ E175 and ERJ series aircraft.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft per FAA regs and procedures.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair mechanical and electrical systems for safety and reliability.
• Inspect using manuals, IPCs, wiring diagrams and engineering documents.
• Remove/install/test/adjust systems and components, including airframe/powerplant sections.
• Execute line maintenance, overnight checks, and return-to-service activities.
• Document actions and complete work orders in compliance with regulations.
• Coordinate with Maintenance Control and other departments to support dispatch reliability.
• Uphold safety, quality, and security procedures in a clean, organized workspace.
• Use IPCs, wiring diagrams and engineering docs to guide repairs.
• Participate in heavy maintenance tasks on regional/corporate aircraft as needed.

Job Title: A&P Mechanic - Line Maintenance

Job Description

This role is an excellent opportunity for experienced A&P Maintenance Technicians to support a growing maintenance operation at Miami International Airport. You will perform high-quality aircraft maintenance in a fast-paced airline environment, ensuring safety, reliability, and regulatory compliance. The position requires strong mechanical aptitude, advanced troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and established company procedures. Experience with Embraer EMB-145 or similar regional jet platforms is highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on company aircraft to include Saab and Embraer models in accordance with FAA regulations and company procedures.

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair aircraft mechanical and electrical systems to ensure safe and reliable operation.

• Conduct detailed inspections using manufacturer maintenance manuals, FAA regulations, and company policies as guidance.

• Remove, install, test, and adjust aircraft systems and components, including airframe and powerplant assemblies.

• Perform line maintenance, overnight checks, and aircraft return-to-service activities to support daily flight operations.

• Accurately document all maintenance actions, complete work orders, and maintain records in full compliance with regulatory requirements.

• Coordinate closely with Maintenance Control and other departments to support aircraft dispatch reliability and minimize operational disruptions.

• Adhere to all safety, quality, and security procedures while maintaining a clean, organized, and compliant work area.

• Utilize maintenance manuals, IPCs, wiring diagrams, and engineering documents to guide repair and troubleshooting activities.

• Participate in heavy maintenance activities, inspections, and troubleshooting tasks on regional and corporate aircraft as needed.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) certificate.

• Prior experience performing maintenance on Embraer E145, E170, and E175, and ERJ series aircraft.

• Demonstrated ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, illustrated parts catalogs (IPCs), wiring diagrams, and engineering documents.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills for mechanical and electrical aircraft systems.

• Ability to perform aircraft maintenance, repair, inspection, and line maintenance in compliance with FAA regulations.

• Proven capability to work independently with minimal supervision and effectively within a team environment.

• Ability to work various shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as required by operational needs.

• Strong commitment to safety, quality, and regulatory compliance in all maintenance activities.

• Mechanical aptitude and hands-on experience with aircraft systems and components.

• Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, work on ladders and aircraft stands, and operate in confined spaces.

Work Environment

This position is based at Miami International Airport in both hangar and line maintenance environments, supporting active airline operations. Technicians work on the airport ramp and in maintenance facilities, performing duties in varying weather conditions and around live aircraft. The role requires the ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds, work on ladders and aircraft stands, and operate in confined or elevated spaces. Shift coverage includes overnight schedules, with primary shifts such as Sunday through Wednesday from 8:00 p.m. to 6:30 a.m., and Wednesday through Friday with overnight hours, with potential flexibility to start earlier for technicians with strong Embraer experience. The environment emphasizes strict adherence to safety, quality, and security procedures, with an expectation of maintaining a clean, organized workspace and professional appearance appropriate for an active airline maintenance operation.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $80000.00 - $104000.00/yr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
