Pay is $2,596 per week for 36 hours of work, with travel and licensure reimbursements and comprehensive benefits. Candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility and meet trauma experience requirements.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing (temporary licenses accepted).
• Minimum of three years recent nursing experience in PCU, stepdown, intermediate care, and trauma settings.
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association).
• Documented experience with Level 1 Trauma environments.
• EPIC charting experience required.
• ASN required; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Advanced Care/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with EMU monitoring responsibilities.
• Care for stepdown, intermediate, and trauma patients including seizure monitoring in EMU.
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week.
• Collaborates with the critical care team and hospitalists for advanced care patients.
• Monitor EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity in addition to advanced care responsibilities.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes.
• Maintain clear communication with patients and families through bedside reporting and hourly rounding.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care/Telemetry Unit night position requiring an active IL license, EPIC, and Level 1 Trauma experience.

Responsibilities

• Work in an Advanced Care/Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with EMU monitoring responsibilities
• Care for stepdown, intermediate, and trauma patients including seizure monitoring in EMU
• Night shift schedule from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, three 12-hour shifts per week

• No local candidates will be considered; candidates must live at least 50 miles from the facility
• Monitor EMU patients 24/7 for seizure activity in addition to advanced care responsibilities
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care
• Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes
• Maintain clear communication with patients and families through bedside reporting and hourly rounding
• Maximum of one year on assignment at the facility before converting or taking a 6-month break
• Travel partners are not accepted for this position
• Adherence to departmental competencies is required

Pay package is based on 12 hour shifts and 36 hours per week (subject to confirmation) with tax-free stipend amount to be determined.
