American Traveler is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing assignment in Marion, Illinois. The position is a 13-week contract with 36 hours per week, featuring 12-hour night shifts and a requirement for an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Responsibilities include a 36-bed Med/Surg unit with 12-hour nights, floating to ED/ICU as needed, and a typical 1:5 nurse-to-patient ratio with CNA support.

Qualifications

• Active IL RN license required, no temporary or pending licenses accepted.
• Current AHA BLS certification required.
• Minimum two years of Med/Surg nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am.
• Float to ED/ICU for care of medical holds only as needed.
• Nurse-to-patient ratio typically 1:5 with CNA support, may be 1:4 when staffing issues arise.
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage as needed.

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position in Illinois, requiring an active IL RN license and EPIC charting experience.

Responsibilities

• Position is located in a 36-bed med/surg/ortho unit in a hospital setting
• 12-hour night shifts from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am
• Float required to ED/ICU for care of medical holds only
• Typical nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:5 with CNA support, and may be 1:4 for primary care if staffing issues arise
• Every other weekend and holiday coverage required as needed
• No on-call or call back responsibilities
• Utilizes EPIC for charting
• Must be resilient, adaptable, and able to manage change effectively
• Expected to be a hard-working and socially adept team member
• Scrub color requirement is navy blue
• COVID-19 vaccine is not required but this is subject to change
• Orientation week hours may vary depending on unit closure during holidays

Requirements

• Ability to work independently and confidently in a fast-paced environment
• Candidates must reside more than 40 miles from the facility
