American Traveler, LLC. is hiring an Activities Coordinator for a long-term care facility in Hawaii. The role requires an active Hawaii license, MDS experience, and strong activity program leadership to coordinate social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual activities.

The position is full-time with shifts including evenings, weekends, and holidays. You will work in Cerner EMR, manage budgets, supervise staff, and ensure quality resident care with emphasis on dignity and

Qualifications

• Active HI license is required.
• BLS certification required.
• Minimum 3 years as Activities Coordinator with planning and coordinating activity programs.
• MDS experience required.
• Knowledge of anatomy and administrative practices for directing activity programs.
• Experience with budget preparation and personnel supervision.
• Ability to read, write, speak and communicate effectively in English.

Responsibilities

• Work in a long term care or skilled nursing facility setting.
• Full time position with any shift including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Uses Cerner EMR system.
• Holiday coverage for assigned holidays.
• Direct an activity program addressing social, recreational, physical, educational, and spiritual needs.
• Support patients’ dignity, mental and physical capacity, self-confidence, and empowerment through meaningful activities.
• Responsible for program assessment, development, performance improvement, budget monitoring, and personnel management.
• Supervise and train subordinate staff and conduct training programs.
