Job summary

Hale Ho Aloha, Inc. seeks an Activity Coordinator to plan and direct resident activity programs under the Director of Social Services in a long-term care setting. The role focuses on entertainment, inter-communication, relaxation, and psychosocial needs fulfillment.

The candidate will train staff, maintain records, and coordinate calendars, while upholding the organization’s mission and values. Weekend availability is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 3 years' equivalent experience in a long-term care facility.
• Completion of a 36-hour Activity Coordinator course; professional certification desirable.
• Ability to communicate and relate well with residents and family members.

Responsibilities

• Organizes and directs activities including Reality Orientations, Musical Therapy, and Sing-Along groups.
• Maintains attendance records for participating residents.
• Prepares monthly activity calendars with crafts, games, parties, and religious activities.
• Decorates activities for holidays and special events.
• Purchases supplies and maintains records and receipts.
• Prepares activity evaluations within 72 hours of admission.
• Participates in weekly resident care plan meetings.
• Upholds Hale Ho Aloha values and mission.
