Formación

• Current Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Preferred: previous nursing unit secretary or medical office experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Ability to read, write, speak, and understand English.

Responsabilidades

• Triages patient call lights in a timely manner.
• Monitors the electronic record for new provider-entered orders.
• Coordinates the completion of orders with nursing staff and other departments as appropriate.
• Utilizes computer technology to access and exchange data (lab results, interdepartmental communications, etc.).
• Maintains patient charts and records, ensuring confidentiality.
• Performs clerical duties and coordinates department/unit services.
