Job summary

Saint Francis Hospital, a member of Trinity Health Of New England, is seeking an Assistant Nurse Manager (RN) for our Neuroscience Unit in Hartford, CT. This leadership role supports daily operations and teams delivering care to patients with acute neurological conditions.

You will drive clinical excellence, staff engagement, and patient safety while collaborating with neurologists, neurosurgeons, and multidisciplinary teams. A hands-on leader is expected on assigned shifts.

Qualifications

• RN license – Connecticut is required.
• BSN degree.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Minimum 2–3 years of acute care nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day clinical and operational functions of a busy inpatient Neuroscience Unit.
• Supervise and mentor charge nurses and frontline nursing staff.
• Coordinate staffing, scheduling, patient assignments and throughput.
• Promote patient safety, evidence-based practice and accountability.
• Lead quality improvement, stroke care and patient experience initiatives.
