Job summary

Advocate Health in Charlotte, North Carolina, seeks a registered nurse for the 11A Trauma Step-Down unit at Carolinas Medical Center. This full-time role (40 hrs/week) offers primarily dayshift, Monday–Friday with some flexibility, in a Magnet-designated Level 1 trauma center setting.

Required: current RN licensure; BSN preferred; BLS; MSN pathway or degree within 5 years if under BSN. Competitive compensation and comprehensive benefits available.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing; current RN licensure.
• MSN preferred or enrollment within 1 year of hire; MSN graduation within 5 years if BSN.
• BLS required; professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Performs nursing care and administers medications as necessary.
• Collaborates with interdisciplinary partners to achieve high quality patient outcomes.
• Ensures compliance with Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Mentors staff and supports recruitment/retention of qualified personnel.
• Leads performance improvement activities to enhance care quality.
