Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Registered Nurse in the Telemetry Cardiac unit (7B) at Carolinas Medical Center in Charlotte, NC. This full-time role involves leading nursing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and delivering high-quality patient care on a 40-hour week schedule (Mon-Fri; weekends/holidays off).

Requires RN licensure; MSN preferred and must be pursued if BSN not held. BLS and certification within 1 year of eligibility are required; prior management experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current RN licensure in appropriate state.
• MSN preferred; if undergraduate degree is not BSN, must enroll in and complete MSN within 5 years of hire.
• Previous management experience preferred.
• BLS required per policy guidelines.
• Professional certification within 1 year of eligibility.

Responsibilities

• Provide and oversee professional nursing care in line with a Professional Practice model.
• Ensure unit and staff compliance with Nursing Practice Act and regulatory standards.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to achieve high-quality patient outcomes.
• Recruit, onboard, and develop staff; oversee credentialing and ongoing education.
• Delegate effectively and promote shared governance while pursuing quality improvements.
