Northeast Healthcare Recruitment, Inc. (NEHCR) is seeking a skilled Trauma Surgery Physician Assistant to join our team in Stockbridge, GA.

In this full-time role you will support the trauma surgery department and deliver comprehensive care to trauma patients. The ideal candidate will have PA certification, Georgia licensure, and substantial trauma and surgical experience, with strong teamwork and patient education responsibilities.

Qualifications

  • Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
  • Certification as a Physician Assistant.
  • Current licensure in the state of Georgia.
  • Significant trauma care and surgical experience.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct trauma patient assessments, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnostic evaluations; collaborate with the trauma surgery team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans.
  • Assist in trauma surgeries, including pre-operative preparations, intraoperative support, and post-operative care; manage perioperative care and contribute to patient recovery.
  • Be an integral part of the trauma response team, participating in the assessment and management of critically ill and injured patients; contribute to the development and implementation of trauma protocols.
  • Work closely with trauma surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and effective patient care; participate in multidisciplinary rounds and case conferences.
  • Provide education to trauma patients and their families regarding injuries, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.

Responsibilities:
Trauma Patient Care:

Conduct thorough assessments of traumapatients, including history-taking, physical examinations, and diagnosticevaluations. Collaborate with the trauma surgery team to develop and implementindividualized treatment plans.

Surgical Assistance:

Assist invarious aspects of trauma surgeries, including pre-operative preparations,intraoperative support, and post-operative care.Manage perioperativecare and contribute to patient recovery.

Emergency Response:

Be anintegral part of the trauma response team, participating in the assessment andmanagement of critically ill and injured patients.Contribute to thedevelopment and implementation of trauma protocols.

Collaboration:

Work closelywith trauma surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensurecoordinated and effective patient care.Participate in multidisciplinaryrounds and case conferences.

Patient Education:
