Job summary

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy trauma team at Kennestone in Marietta, GA. This Level 1 trauma center features a large, collegial group and a robust teaching environment within an integrated health system.

Ideal candidates have completed fellowship training or have substantial experience in trauma centers, with a flexible call schedule and opportunities for leadership, growth, and teaching.

Qualifications

• BC/BE in Trauma Surgery and eligible for Georgia license.
• Experience in Level 1 or busy Level 2 trauma centers.
• Willing to participate in teaching and leadership within the group.

Responsibilities

• Provide trauma surgery care as part of a busy Level 1 trauma center team.
• Participate in flexible 24-hour call schedule (7 calls per month or 14 12-hour shifts).
• Contribute to teaching, mentoring, and program growth within Wellstar Medical Group.

Work Shift

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy, collegial team trauma team at Kennestone.

• Level 1 trauma center located in Marietta, just Northwest of Atlanta.
• Busiest Emergency department in the state.
• GME surgery residency program and teaching opportunities.
• Approximately 15% penetrative trauma
• Seasoned trauma program with large group comprised of 12 physicians, APPs, responsible for covering trauma, surgical critical care for trauma patients and acute care surgery.
• Flexible call schedule, in house trauma/EGS call requirement of 7 24-hour calls per month (or 14 12's).
• ICU week in rotation shared equally between partners.
• Backup call schedule shared equally between partners.
