Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy trauma team at Kennestone in Marietta, GA on a PRN basis. The role includes trauma care, ICU shifts, and EGS in-house duties with teaching responsibilities for residents within a large teaching health system.

Qualifications

• Current board certified or board eligible in general surgery with trauma focus.
• Planned or completed 2-year trauma fellowship or equivalent experience at a busy Level 1/Level 2 trauma center.
• Experience in acute care surgery, trauma care, and surgical critical care.
• Strong communication, teamwork, and patient-centered skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide acute surgical care for trauma patients in the Level 1 trauma center.
• Cover ICU shifts for trauma patients.
• Assist with Trauma and emergency general surgery (EGS) in-house shifts.
• Participate in teaching and mentorship for residents.

Position Overview

Wellstar Medical Group is seeking BC/BE Trauma Acute Care Surgeons to join our busy collegial trauma team at Kennestone on a PRN basis at our Level 1 trauma center located in Marietta, Northwest of Atlanta. The role involves covering trauma, surgical critical care for trauma patients, ICU shifts, Trauma and/or EGS in-house shifts. The team is a large group of 10 physicians, APPs, with teaching and GME residency program.

Location and Team

• Level 1 trauma center in Marietta, GA
• Collaboration with 10 physicians and APPs
• GME surgery residency and teaching opportunities

Responsibilities

• Provide acute surgical care for trauma patients in the Level 1 trauma center
• Cover ICU shifts for trauma patients
• Assist with Trauma and emergency general surgery (EGS) in-house shifts
