Job summary

Yale New Haven Health is seeking a Patient Care Associate (CNA) to support clinical teams in a hospital setting. The role involves assisting with patient assessment, reporting findings to registered nurses, and helping with basic care tasks to ensure quality service and safety.

You will obtain vital signs, support procedures, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to address patient needs while maintaining compassion and professionalism. CPR certification is required or in progress.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with patients and families.
• Strong teamwork and collaboration with multidisciplinary staff.
• CPR certification or willingness to obtain it.

Responsibilities

• Under RN direction, assist in patient assessment, planning and evaluation.
• Record and report vital signs as delegated by the RN.
• Provide technical duties and selected treatments to support safe patient care.
• Communicate with patients, families and staff; cover BA desk as needed.
