Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking an Advanced Practice Provider (ACNP) to join the Level 1 Trauma Surgery ICU. The role involves co-managing ICU patients, performing procedures, interpreting tests, prescribing medications, and contributing to education and research.

The ideal candidate has ACNP certification and board/DEA/BLS-ACLS credentials; TNCC/ATLS is preferred, with a year to acquire required procedures. The schedule is full-time with weekend/holiday rotation.

Qualifications

• Current ACNP certification is required.
• Board Certification, DEA license, and BLS/ACLS certification are required.
• TNCC or ATLS certification is preferred.
• Acquiring procedures/certifications are required within the year of hire (Bronchoscopy, arterial line, central venous line, ultrasound FAST, chest tube placement, brain death certification).
• Minimum of 3 year experience in acute care, trauma, or TSICU bedside experienced preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages trauma surgery ICU patients on weekdays, rotating weekends/holidays with potential night coverage.
• Involved in clinical management, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of tests, prescription of medications, education, consultation, and research.

Education

ACNP certification

Board Certification, DEA, BLS/ACLS

TNCC or ATLS (preferred)

3+ years acute care/trauma/TSICU experience (preferred)
