Job summary

Banner University Medical Center Phoenix is seeking a dynamic Advanced Practice Provider (ACNP) to join our Level 1 Trauma Surgery ICU. The selected provider will manage ICU patients, perform procedures, interpret tests, prescribe medications, and contribute to education and research in a collaborative academic setting.

The role welcomes highly motivated new graduates with prior acute care/trauma/ICU experience and requires ongoing acquisition of required procedures within the first year.

Qualifications

• Current ACNP certification is required.
• First Assist Credentials preferred for ACNPs.
• Current Board Certification, DEA license, and BLS/ACLS certification required.
• TNCC or ATLS certification preferred.
• Acquiring procedures/certifications within the year of hire (bronchoscopy, arterial line, central venous line, ultrasound FAST, chest tube placement, brain death certification).
• Minimum of 3 years experience in acute care, trauma, or TSICU bedside preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directly manages trauma surgery ICU patients on weekdays, with rotating weekends/holidays and potential night coverage.
• Involves clinical management, therapeutic and diagnostic procedures, interpretation of tests, prescribing medications, education, consultation, and research.
• Collaborate in a fast-paced academic environment with a team-focused approach.
