Job summary

Cleveland Clinic Hillcrest Hospital seeks a Trauma Registrar to abstract and code medical records for trauma patients in accordance with ACS TQIP, Ohio, and regional guidelines. Responsibilities include identifying records, collecting and entering data, assigning ICD-9/ICD-10 codes, ISS, AIS, and E-Codes, and preparing reports.

The role is data-driven with emphasis on accuracy and registry management. The position follows a hybrid schedule (7:00 a.m.–3:30 p.m., flexible hours) with three onsite

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 hours of trauma registry continuing education per year as recommended by ACS

Responsibilities

• Identify patient records for entry into the trauma registry.
• Collect, abstract and accurately enter trauma data into the trauma registry.
• Complete final entry of patient data no later than 60 days post discharge.
• Participate in data validation and maintain department standards.
• Assist in preparation for American College of Surgeons trauma center verification.
• Ensure data is abstracted and submitted to meet submission deadlines.
