Job summary

HonorHealth seeks a part-time Trauma Registrar to independently collect, abstract, and report trauma data in alignment with state and national standards. The role supports regulatory submissions and benchmarking efforts, requiring attention to detail and healthcare data experience.

The position is primarily onsite at John C Lincoln and may transition to a hybrid schedule after training. Prior trauma registry or coding experience is preferred; excellent data accuracy is essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year trauma registry or coding experience preferred.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and registry/coding required.
• 2 years in a health-related field preferred.
• Data entry and data analyst skills in health field required.
• Certifications in trauma registry or RHIA preferred.

Responsibilities

• Collect, abstract, enter, and report trauma data according to guidelines.
• Review health records to perform case findings and data validation.
• Code data using AIS and registry criteria.
• Generate and coordinate trauma registry reports for regulatory and benchmarking needs.
• Maintain registry functionality with vendor and hospital IT; support improvements.
• Ensure timely submissions to AZ DOH, NTDB, and TQIP.
