Job summary

Boston Medical Center is seeking an RN Supervisor for the Clinical Trauma Registry to oversee daily operations, ensure high‑quality trauma data, and manage a team of registrars. This role ensures timely abstraction, coding accuracy, and compliance with NTDB/TQIP and MA DPH requirements.

The supervisor provides clinical expertise in AIS and ICD‑10 coding, supports staff development, and drives ongoing performance improvement and research data requests to meet program needs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Massachusetts RN license required by hire date.
• Certifications in trauma data management (e.g., CSTR/CAISS) required by hire date.

Responsibilities

• Supervise daily Trauma Registry operations and direct workflow.
• Ensure staff are trained in ICD-10-CM, AIS coding, and data entry.
• Maintain data integrity, validation, and audit readiness.
• Lead TQIP participation and educational activities for staff.
• Support ACS/MA DPH verification and on-site survey activities.
• Coordinate monthly Trauma Multidisciplinary Committee and data reports.
