Job summary

Brown University Health is seeking a Lead Trauma/Burn Registrar to ensure accuracy, completeness, and timeliness of trauma and burn registry data at Rhode Island Hospital. You will lead data quality initiatives, coordinate NTDB, TQIP, and ABA submissions, and provide education and system leadership within the registry.

The role requires strong medical terminology knowledge, ICD-10-CM/AIS expertise, and experience with database management.

Qualifications

• Minimum five (5) years of healthcare experience.
• Strong background in medical terminology.
• Solid knowledge of ICD-10-CM and AIS coding systems.
• Knowledge of database management systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Lead data quality oversight for trauma/burn registry data.
• Coordinate data submission to NTDB, TQIP, ABA and internal research projects.
• Serve as primary database resource and liaise with vendor for system updates.
• Educate registry staff and coordinate training on data definitions and documentation.
