Job summary

Henderson Hospital is seeking a Trauma Registrar to accurately compile and maintain concurrent review of trauma patient records and related databases. You will support data collection processes, assist with compliance, and participate in quality improvement programs to evaluate trauma care.

You will upload trauma data to TDSHS and ACS TQIP as required, analyze data validity, identify trends, and provide recommendations to the Trauma Program Director and team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; associate degree preferred.
• Upon hire or within 12 months, complete ATS Trauma Registry Course or TETAF Data Management Course and related AAAM/DSHS coursework.
• CAISS certification or AAAM Injury Severity Scale training within specified timelines for facility level requirements.

Responsibilities

• Compile and review medical records for trauma patients and maintain trauma databases.
• Upload data to TDSHS and ACS TQIP; analyze data validity and identify trends.
• Support regulatory reporting and prepare materials/minutes for Trauma Service meetings.
• Contribute to quality improvement activities for trauma patient care.
