Empower Mental Health in Atlanta, GA seeks a compassionate Mental Health Therapist (LPC or LCSW) to provide short-term therapy for clients who have experienced personal injuries, such as car accidents.

In this role you will assess trauma impact, develop individualized short-term plans, and deliver evidence-based interventions (CBT, solution-focused, mindfulness). Collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and clear documentation are essential.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
• Specialized training in trauma-focused therapies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsabilités

• Assess and plan treatment to understand trauma from personal injuries and create short-term plans.
• Provide evidence-based interventions for trauma, anxiety, depression, tailored for short-term therapy.
• Respond to crises and coordinate with emergency services as needed.
• Educate clients on psychological effects and coping strategies to build resilience.
• Maintain documentation and progress notes for legal or insurance purposes.
