Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking an LPC or LCSW to provide short-term therapy for clients who have sustained personal injuries, focusing on trauma recovery and emotional well-being within a limited timeframe.

The role involves conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, delivering evidence-based interventions (CBT, solution-focused therapy, mindfulness), and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team. Prior trauma-focused training is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
• Specialized training or experience in trauma-focused therapies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the psychological impact of personal injuries on clients.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support to clients in distress.
• Education and Coping Strategies: Educate clients on the effects of injuries and help them develop coping strategies.
• Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Provide timely updates regarding clients' mental health progress.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Ethical Standards: Adhere to ethical guidelines and safeguard client confidentiality and privacy.
