Job summary

Empower Mental Health is seeking a compassionate Mental Health Therapist (LPC or LCSW) to provide short-term therapy for clients who have sustained personal injuries, such as car accidents. Qualifications

• Master's or Doctoral degree in counseling, psychology, social work, or a related field.
• State licensure as a Mental Health Therapist or Counselor.
• Specialized training or experience in trauma-focused therapies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities

• Assessment and Treatment Planning: Conduct comprehensive assessments to understand the psychological impact of personal injuries on clients.
• Therapeutic Interventions: Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions tailored to address trauma, anxiety, depression, and other mental health issues.
• Crisis Intervention: Respond effectively to crisis situations, providing immediate support to clients in distress.
• Education and Coping Strategies: Educate clients on the psychological effects of personal injuries and help them develop coping strategies.
• Collaboration with Multidisciplinary Team: Provide timely updates and insights regarding clients' mental health progress.
• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client sessions, progress notes, and treatment plans.
• Ethical Standards: Safeguard client confidentiality and privacy.
