Job summary

Advocate Health is seeking a Radiology Technologist to operate x-ray equipment, assist radiologists in fluoroscopic exams, and perform surgical radiography as needed. You will prepare patients, record history, and ensure comfort while following safety protocols.

The role requires ARRT registration or eligibility, radiology credentials, and CPR certification, with weekend and on-call flexibility to meet staffing needs.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of Radiology Technology.
• Certificate or Associate Degree in Radiology Technology.
• ARRT Registered or registry eligible.
• IDNS Licensed and CPR certification current.

Responsibilities

• Operate x-ray equipment to produce radiographs as ordered.
• Maneuver portable radiographic equipment in patient care areas and in surgery.
• Assist radiologists in fluoroscopic examinations.
• Perform radiographic exams in surgery as required.
• Operate Digital Imaging System components and ensure film quality.
• Label radiographs per department criteria and maintain safety standards.
• Review radiographs for optimum quality and report issues.
• Prepare patients, obtain history, explain procedures, and ensure comfort.
• Maintain CPR certification and participate in departmental training.
