Job summary

Memorial Hermann is seeking a Trauma Program Manager to lead trauma care operations, performance improvement, and education across the facility. You will collaborate with leaders and physicians to advance trauma outcomes and ensure designation/verification readiness.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing with a Bachelor's or plan to complete degree.
  • Current State of Texas license/permit to practice professional nursing; PALS or ENPC.
  • Five years of clinical trauma care in the hospital setting and three years of progressive supervisory/management experience.
  • Excellent oral and written communication; ability to work independently and with groups.
  • Proficiency with Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of AIS and ISS trauma scoring.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee operations of the Trauma department.
  • Monitor quality of patient care during hospitalization.
  • Develop performance improvement projects with unit leadership.
  • Coordinate trauma case reviews to improve care quality.
  • Ensure designation/verification requirements by TSDS and ACS are met.
  • Develop corrective action plans and communicate with upper administration.
  • Lead community outreach and trauma injury prevention initiatives.
  • Participate in trauma committees and professional organizations.
  • Promote safe care and adhere to policies within budget and time constraints.
  • Support staff development and act as preceptor and mentor.
