Job summary

Meritus Health in Hagerstown, MD seeks a Trauma Program Manager to provide strategic leadership and oversight of the trauma program. You will lead multidisciplinary teams, ensure compliance with trauma standards, and drive quality, performance improvement, and patient outcomes.

The role reports to Medical Director of Trauma Services and collaborates with surgeons, nurses, EMS, and community partners to align pre-hospital and in-hospital care with best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in nursing required; Master's in nursing or related field preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in at least 2 areas (critical care, ED, OR, PACU, management) with at least 3 years in trauma care.
• Current Maryland RN licensure; ACLS, PALS/ENPC, TNCC or equivalent; BLS required.

Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for the trauma program.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team to ensure compliant, high-quality trauma care across departments.
• Coordinate care across EMS, physicians, nurses and community partners to strengthen regional trauma system.
• Oversee performance improvement, patient safety, and trauma registry data analysis.
• Support trauma center verification and ongoing accreditation efforts.
